She’s a shoveler as white as snow
Her true friends don’t even know.
One knows her addiction, cold
dripping moisture from her nose
A sinus infection is her false witness
And no one knows.
She’s the shark in the ocean, but prefers swimming in lakes
Where the warmth of bodies
Keep her safe.
She’s falling again.
She’s cold again.
This time she’ll need another call.
She’s a day walker
So they say
Little do they know
She walks all day.
